Símbolo de Hermanos Hernáiz

THE VINEYARD

TYPE OF VINEYARDS

El Pedal from Hermanos Hernáiz is made with grapes from estates owned by the Hernáiz family in five villages located in Rioja Alta: Fuenmayor, Cenicero, Navarrete, Hornos de Moncalvillo and Baños de Rioja.

These vineyards, despite being Rioja Alta, are not located in such an extreme area as the most renowned estate of the family: Finca La Emperatriz. Therefore, the climate has less Atlantic influence and the wines do not require long ageing to show their full potential.

All of them are mainly grown with Tempranillo and Viura bush vines, with an average age over 30 years old.

THE WINES

EL PEDAL

Informal, fruity and laid-back wines for the non-conformist wine-drinker: for lounging on the picnic blanket, filling a glass at a summer barbecue or enjoying with a few choice tapas.

EL PEDAL

VIURA

A young white made with Viura, faithful reflection of the freshness that this land is capable of producing.

EL PEDAL

TEMPRANILLO

Informal character in a young label, which preserves the youthfulness of Rioja wines, but which, thanks to its production, enjoys a long life of up to 3 years.
