Brothers Eduardo and Víctor Hernáiz have just launched the new 2020 vintage of El Jardín de La Emperatriz Blanco, after the warm welcome given -both by critics and the public- to the new references unveiled last year of their most emblematic project: Finca La Emperatriz. This Rioja Alta makes, together with El Jardín de la Emperatriz Tinto, the second brand that the Hernáiz brothers craft at the property.
El Jardín de La Emperatriz Blanco is a 100 percent young Viura, mostly from bush vine vineyards over 60 years old, resulting in a wine with a marked personality: aromas of white fruit and citrus touches, a sweet note and great acidity that gives freshness and persistence. In short, a Rioja Alta to enjoy in relaxed moments and the perfect wildcard to accompany a diverse gastronomy.
In addition, the presentation of this new vintage coincides with the publication of the long-awaited DOCa Rioja report written by renowned Master of Wine, Tim Atkin; who in its 2021 edition, has positioned the Hernáiz winery in the second category – from a total of five – of his personal Rioja ranking.
