EL PEDAL TEMPRANILLO 2019 IS RELEASED WITH 90 PARKER POINTS
A few months after the 2018 vintage was sold out, the new El Pedal Tempranillo 2019, the Rioja Alta subzone wine from the Hernáiz brothers Eduardo and Víctor, has arrived into the market.
Vintage after vintage, opinion leaders continue confirming the quality of this label: the Peñín Guide has given it 91 points in its 2021 edition, also maintaining the 5 stars that, as usual, is awarded indicating the highest quality to price score.
On the other hand, Luis Gutiérrez -the Spanish wine taster for Robert Parker– has valued El Pedal Tempranillo 2019 with 90 points in his latest Rioja report. In Gutiérrez’s words, El Pedal Tempranillo is “easy to drink, but complex and serious enough to deserve attention”. A valuable piece of data, not only for the excellent criticism of this wine, but also because Hermanos Hernáiz continues to be one of the 81 wineries reported by Gutiérrez out of the 600 plus established within the DOCa Rioja. Cleary signing the interest that this project has for the world leader in wine prescription.
Like the rest of the references crafted by the Hernáiz brothers, El Pedal Tempranillo is produced with grapes from owned vineyards, located in the towns of Fuenmayor, Cenicero, Navarrete, Hornos de Moncalvillo and Baños de Rioja. A true Rioja Alta wine marked by a touch of wood and its easygoing profile in which freshness, fruit and youth dominate.
